Trumpeter Roy Hargrove and altoist Antonio Hart (who switches to soprano on "Chim Chim Cher-ee"), along with a Japanese rhythm section, turn such songs as "The Bare Necessities," "The Siamese Cat Song," "Under the Sea" and even "Beauty and the Beast" into hard bop-styled jazz; an uptempo version of "Someday My Prince Will Come" is a bit of a surprise while Hargrove's warm statement on "When You Wish Upon a Star" is a highpoint. ~ Scott Yanow<br /><br />Recorded at Clinton Recording Studios, New York on November 20-21, 1992.jazzylover59https://www.blogger.com/profile/02993706988061641497noreply@blogger.com
